• Email Address - Used for account authentication (if you choose email login)
• Grade and Yeshiva - To personalize your experience and organize leaderboards
• Learning Preferences - Your favorite subjects, learning style, and difficulty level

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

• Progress Data - XP points, level, badges earned, and streak information
• Schedule Data - Check-ins to daily activities (prayers, learning sessions, meals)
• Sleep Data - Bedtime, wake time, and sleep quality self-reports
• Learning Data - Daily learning goals and progress toward goals
• Teshuva Reflections - Personal notes and feelings you choose to record
• Personal Goals - Custom goals you create and their completion status

Device Information

• Device Type - iPhone or iPad model
• Operating System - iOS version
• App Version - Version of Seder+ you’re using
• Unique Identifiers - Anonymous Firebase User ID

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

1. Provide Core Functionality
   • Track your learning progress and achievements
   • Display leaderboards comparing your progress with peers
   • Award badges and XP for completing activities
   • Send reminders for prayers and bedtime (if enabled)
2. Personalize Your Experience
   • Customize content based on your grade and learning preferences
   • Provide appropriate difficulty levels
   • Show relevant inspirational quotes
3. Improve the App
   • Analyze usage patterns to enhance features

Data Storage and Security

Where Your Data is Stored

• All data is stored securely using Google Firebase, a trusted cloud platform
• Firebase servers are located in secure data centers with enterprise-grade security
• Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Data is encrypted at rest on Firebase servers

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures:

• Secure authentication via Firebase Authentication
• Role-based access control (you can only access your own data)
• Regular security updates and monitoring
• No storage of sensitive financial information (app is free)

Data Retention

• Your data is retained as long as you have an active account
• If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days
• Aggregated, anonymous statistics may be retained for analytics

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We DO Share:

• Leaderboard Data - Your name, grade/shiur, XP, and badge count are visible to other users in leaderboards
• With Service Providers - Firebase (Google) hosts our database and authentication

We DO NOT:

• ❌ Share your personal notes or teshuva reflections
• ❌ Share your sleep data or personal goals
• ❌ Use your data for advertising
• ❌ Share data with your school/yeshiva without explicit permission

Your Rights and Choices

You Have the Right To:

1. Access Your Data - View all data we have about you in the app’s Profile section
2. Update Your Data - Edit your profile, preferences, and goals anytime
3. Delete Your Data - Request account deletion by contacting us
4. Export Your Data - Request a copy of your data in a portable format
5. Opt-Out of Leaderboards - You can hide your name from public leaderboards (contact us)

Children’s Privacy

Seder+ is designed for students in yeshivas, typically ages 13 and older. We comply with applicable privacy laws including:

• COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) for users under 13
• FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) for educational records

If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has provided information without consent, please contact us immediately.

Parental Controls

Parents and guardians have the right to:

• Review their child’s information
• Request deletion of their child’s account
• Refuse further collection of their child’s data

Third-Party Services

We use Firebase for:

• User authentication
